William Chew

Principal Consultant

William graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work and Sociology with the National University of Singapore. He obtained his Post-Graduate Training and Development Management Diploma with the Singapore Institute of Management (Singapore) and the Institute of Training and Development (UK). He then attained his Masters of Arts in Mass Communication with the Oklahoma City University on a scholarship.

William was with the civil service for more than 30 years taking on various senior management positions in Community Development, Social Service Planning and Policy, Project Management, Feedback, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. He joined the private sector thereafter as the Principal Consultant of a Human Capital and Training Centre. Subsequently he sets up his own HR Consultancy Partnership in 2011.

He sits on a number of public and non-profit boards and associations. As an Independent Director, he chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committees and is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committees. Currently William also helms the Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Social Support and Training (FAST) as its Executive Director. He is one of the founding members of FAST.

William also supported his alma mater, the NUS Social Work and Psychology Department by serving as a Field Supervisor for many years, grooming many young Social Work students for a career in Social and Community Work.

He is also a member of the Lions Club of Singapore.
